Thinking with AI, in public.

ai&i is a working studio for philosophy in conversation with artificial intelligence. I study ideas the old-fashioned way—reading, note-making, argument, revision—then test them in recorded dialogues with an AI partner. The point isn’t to crown AI as a sage or to treat it as a mere tool, but to explore the space between: how human attention, memory, and judgment change when we think with an intelligent system.

What you’ll find

  • Dialogues: daily/weekly sessions with an AI interlocutor, lightly edited for clarity while preserving the live feel.

  • Notes & marginalia: definitions, counter-arguments, and sources.

  • Essays: deeper dives that distill recurring insights from the dialogues.

  • Artifacts: interactive experiments—timelines, argument maps, study guides.

How I work

  1. Read & frame a question (often phenomenology, ethics, tech).

  2. Dialogue with AI to surface assumptions, generate alternatives, and stress-test claims.

  3. Reflect & revise—human judgment remains final.

  4. Publish the trail so others can audit, reuse, or challenge the reasoning.

Commitments

  • Rigor over certainty. Methods > hot takes.

  • Dialogue over dogma. Disagreement welcomed; claims are revisable.

  • Human ends. Tools serve understanding, not the other way around.

  • Experience before abstraction. Start from lived situations; theorize second.

If the future includes AI (it will), then the task is to practice using it well—ethically, critically, and creatively. This site is that practice, in the open.
